double featured image

If you are new to using WordPress for blogging, and you are currently facing this challenge where your featured image is duplicated, this video will help you resolve it

Duplicate images happen when you decide to insert the media you want to use as the post’s featured image into the post editor because you didn’t see it in the post edit page after you added it as the featured image.

When you add a featured image to a blog post, you can only preview it from the preview section in the settings block right here in the post editor. As long as there’s an image to preview here, you have added the featured image correctly.

The only way to see it in full is to preview the post. Avoid the temptation of adding images to the post editor again as this leads to duplicates. If you’ve already made the mistake, click on the image media you added to the post and delete it. Then update the post and preview.

Viola! Duplicate image dealt with… Congratulations!
